Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. Her most well-known role is as an actor who has appeared on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) as well as Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is a group of actors as is she, herself working in both fields. When she was nine the actress began her acting career in Sergio Cittis Sogni e bisogni. She portrayed the lead part in Cristina Comencini's debut motion picture Zoo (1988), as in addition to being a part of Michele Soavi's ensemble for The Church (1989). Then, in 1989, she portrayed Nanni Moretti's (also directed) child in Red Wood Pigeon. Close Friends (1992), directed and written by Michele Placido was the film that launched Asia's acting path. It was her first time moving between roles for young girls to complex and mature roles. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. The Phantom of the Opera was the third film she has made with her dad. Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome were her previous two. The Phantom of the Opera The film, made by her late father, is the third of three films she's worked on. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni employed her deeply absorbed and intense style of acting in Condannato, a nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot. It was a role that was internationally acclaimed. The collaboration she had alongside Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award from David di Donatello and Grolla of Oro. Asia began her career in 1994 as a director she produced two short films: Prospettive (1996), documentary about her father, and Abel/Asia (1998) which was a documentary about the cult film maker Abel Ferrara. The latter won an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia began her directorial debut as a feature film in 1999 with Scarlet Diva (2000). She was also the main performer, as well as the creator of the film's script. In May 2000, the movie was released both in Italy and around the globe. The film was awarded a prize at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, Brooklyn. Anna Lou, the first of her two daughters was born in January of 2001. In 2002, she starred as Jean-Marc Barr's co-star in The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) as well as Vin Diesel was the star in Rob Cohen's thriller The Action. Asia is the author of several short stories, that have been published in various magazines.
